The Bone Collector challenges Lincoln, Amelia, and the team with a trifecta of victims across New York City. But as our team races to solve the clue trails before it's too late, Lincoln must come to terms with the Bone Collector's real target - his own ego. Written by NBCUni press release
We get flashbacks to Lincoln's first big success 15 years earlier. Darkening Russell Hornsby's hair does not make him look any younger.
The Bone Collector has returned to New York and he has up the ante.
Lincoln and his team find themselves trying to save three victims across New York City with Lincoln trying to decipher the clues.
Again it is Lincoln's arrogance that is causing tensions. This is a man who never watched a con movie like The Sting or read Death and the Compass. Taking all the clues on face value and never anticipating a double or triple bluff or any underlying motives.
Once again Amelia tries to get through to Lincoln aided by Detective Michael Sellitto. Lincoln might be clever but is destined to repeat the mistakes that left him as a quadriplegic.
I have been impressed by Brian O'Byrne's brooding performance as the Bone Collector. However it does stretch plausibility that so many of the incidents take place in public and it is never caught by a member of the public or by CCTV cameras.
However in its own terms, the series has found its rhythm and pace but it never attains much credibility.
