Trivia
The episode doesn't specifically says that the person Bruce knew was Victor Fries; it's very possible that it was Batman who locked a now-villainous Victor in Arkham, prompting the brief reference in "Elseworlds", though it is also possible, with "Crisis" having made some alterations to Arrowverse's history with the creation of Earth-Prime, that he's still just a researcher, operating in a lab somewhere in Gotham City, his villain potential not yet realized. In either case, it's an interesting suggestion and lays the groundwork for the cold villain to potentially pop up in the future.

Kate Kane:
If Beth is enemy number one in Gotham, then we have to get her to a hospital outside the city. Maybe a new face to face with this new commander. Can help us past the checkpoints.

Wasn't going to watch any more of the DC Universe shows this year simply because of the poor writing. But I relented because of "Crisis", I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Black Lightning is first rate this year but Batwoman is on of the best network shows. And that has a lot to do with Alice/Beth.
This episode takes that character and her relationship with Kate/Batwoman and puts all of them and us through an emotional ringer.
But for some people a show is a disaster if a character takes someone's temperature wearing gloves. These negative reviewers should keep their identity politics to themselves since it is irrelevant to the quality of this show.
