Storyline

It's 1947. Best friends, Gifford and Nolan dream of starting a big swing band at The Castle, their high school. They recruit a teacher as director and some of their talented buddies, and form "The Knights of Swing". Gifford and Nolan's dream is to win the Southern California "Battle of the Bands". In a few short months they begin to sound really quite good and have high hopes of winning, but some parents oppose them and create big problems, trying to sabotage their dream. A few days before the big competition one parent causes such a huge roadblock for them that their dream seems crushed. Or is it?
