Storyline

Students at a make-out wood stumble over a recently dumped body, first shot and boiled. It's Franklin Curtis (54), founder of an organic supermarket chain. A pesticide indicates he met Andrew Harding, a tobacco farmer he tried to force into organic production, even flirting with his wife. Autopsy shows his skin melted with another. Meanwhile FBI psychoanalyst Sweets must examine if Booth can keep working with Bones after arresting her dad. A pineapple plant bug points to Virginia farmer Lyndon Page's hothouse, or the compost plant it uses. There works Charlie Rogan, who dated daughter Kat Curtis. The second corpse is found and identified as Emma Billings. Written by KGF Vissers

Goofs

Dr Hodgins identifies the beetle as a Carpophilus nitidulidae. There is no species described with this scientific name. However, the name "nitidulidae" is a family of sap beetles (Nitidulidae). You would expect an entomologist to know the different classification levels of animals and not mix up a family name with a scientific name. The beetle is most likely the pineapple sap beetle, previously known as Carpophilus humeralis, but known as Urophorus humeralis since 2005. See more »

Quotes

Special Agent Seeley Booth: Hey, is that the test from Dr. Sweets?
Dr. Temperance 'Bones' Brennan: [Holding the test protectively in front of her] Yes.
Special Agent Seeley Booth: Well, what'd you put for number seven cuz I put 12 to 15 times a day, and now I'm thinking I really misunderstood the question.

They brought in an analyst to beef up the ratings because the writers have run out of material .... even a child could write these episodes overnight ... gimme a break, this show is toast already ... next they will drag out some obscure old case to reunify the cast ... sweets is a loser slowly sinking in pond scum ... i find it all tawdry and whimsical ... its time for brennan and booth to get in the sack
