I just loved this series. First of all, it is void of any politics and PC messaging which ruins all American productions. It's does what Hitchcock did so well, it creates a world of it's own and invites you in. Every scene in these 6 episodes is focused only on one thing - solving mysteries. It's a tight police-procedural, but also an edge of your seat thriller. A Paris homicide detective working on solving a series of murders, is shot and after 6 days in a coma, he wakes up with amnesia. As he tries to remember not only who he is, who tried to kill him, who the serial killer is, what Trauma (hence the title) he experienced as a 10 year old boy, he also needs to figure out who the woman is who's locked up in his basement.
If you like Hitchcock's The Wrong Man and Christopher Nolan's Memento, you should enjoy this. There are many plot twists, but they are all logical, maybe not at first but by the end all the puzzle pieces fall into place.
Great cast of French actors, especially the actor who plays the protagonist who is terrific.
