DAVID is a homeless man in his 30's who has wandered the streets of Los Angeles for nearly two decades. David suffered over fourteen years of child abuse at the hands of his mother for being gay and has been homeless since he was a young teen. David is always accompanied by his best friend SUNSHINE who is a talented thief and pick-pocket who abuses hard-drugs and has been homeless for over twenty years. In and out of rehab and countless shelters...David and Sunshine survive the harsh streets of Los Angeles by living according to their own rules with a morality that sees them through the worst actions' humanity has to offer. Prompted by a new government housing program that's aimed at helping to permanently re-home and rehabilitate our nation's homeless population, David, Sunshine, Broadway Vic, Frank, Mary and Peter are all admitted into the program in order to find redemption and new purpose in their lives.
