A woman invites re-enactors to produce an authentic first Thanksgiving for her family and friends. However, things take an unexpected turn when the actors refuse to break character.
This movie knows what it is, and it does it very well. It's not hide-under-the-covers horror or a psychological slow-burn, but rather a well-acted, campy B movie. The family dynamics are pretty darn good, right down to the eye-rolling teens and quippy dialogue. If you enjoy films like Cabin in the Woods and Dale and Tucker vs. the Evil, you'll probably enjoy this film. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and neither should you. Enjoy it for what it is !
