Quotes

Anna Turner: Last night was beautiful. You were just really feeling the spirit. My family was so proud of you. My Dad was a little puzzled over this at the beginning but he and mama, they have given us their blessing since you've converted. They were so scared they were going to have to go to a Catholic Church for a wedding. Mamaw says the Pope is the anti-christ.
Jake Johnson: Oh, she does? What exactly did I convert to last night?
Anna Turner: Well, the pentecost, of course..

Adventurous and funny
12 November 2019 | by cincypanteraSee all my reviews

I was invited to a screening this weekend by a friend and I decided to go despite being under the weather. The story is pretty unique and flows really well. There is a funny twist which I won't reveal but the film is almost two separate stories. The actors were incredible and made an already funny premise even more hilarious with their reactions. There are some over the top characters and scenes which would be hard to pull off but this cast really did shine. The church scene and dinner scene might be the funniest thing I have seen in the past few years. The time in the theater flew by and I literally thought it was a short film until I looked at my phone and realized we had been inside almost two hours. I look forward to seeing this film again when it is released.
