Factory worker Johann Schönberger wakes up in the headquarters of the secret police accused of a crime he can't remember committing. The methodical interrogation by the well dressed man at the end of the table eventually leads Schönberger back to an event which puts his entire world in question. The decision he must make will challenge his integrity and put his life on the line.
A totalitarian system. Factory worker Johann Schoenberger awakes in the headquarters of secret police, aka the Ministry of Peace Education, accused of a crime he cannot remember. The methodical interrogation by the correctly dressed man at the other end of the table eventually leads him back to an event which put his entire world in question. Desiring to break free from the oppressive routine of his everyday existence, he chose, for the first time, to experience life as an unguided individual. Faced with the consequences of his action, he now has to make a decision that will challenge his integrity and put his life on the line. For the ruthless interrogation he is subjected to appears to offer little chance for him defending his standpoint or even convince his antagonist that the state could have made an error...
