Randy vs. Gonzaga
Maniac-98 March 2012
UFC 74 was the first time that Randy Couture defended his Heavyweight Championship after upsetting Tim Sylvia at UFC 68. He went against Gabriel Gonzaga who had won the #1 contender ship against Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic at UFC 70. Gonzaga shocked the world at UFC 70 with a devastating kick on Cro Cop. So this was a huge HW title fight at the time. Couture used what he's known best for that is his greco roman wrestling and then ground and pound to get a TKO victory in the 3rd round.

In the co-main event of the evening Georges St. Pierre bounced back from his surprising loss to Matt Serra at UFC 69 with a unanimous decision win here over Josh Koscheck.

Roger Huerta, Joe Stevenson and Patrick Cote were also able to secure main card victories on this card.

It was a pay per view event that definitely was worth the price of the show.
