The Beach House

Director Jeffrey Brown said his script was influenced by five films: Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956, 1978, and 1993), Shivers (1975), Like Crazy (2011), Alien (1979), and The Quatermass Xperiment (1955).

In the closing driving scene both of Emily's hands can be seen on the steering wheel multiple times from the behind shots, whereas in the face-on shots she's shown to be clearly only driving with one hand on the wheel whilst she holds the oxygen mask.

The beach appears in the background of the end credits while waves are heard crashing onto shore.
