A beautiful, patriotic film
27 April 2008 | by amanda_bfsfilmsSee all my reviews

I have just viewed the new, re-edited version of American Identity and I have to say this is outstanding. Far above and beyond the original version, the new editor has captured the heart and beauty of the story. I have seen the original version many times, and this new version had me in tears, it's captivating, flows faster than the original, and gets straight to the point. I am so glad that this film received a new edit. The first version was o.k., but now the film is so strong, it's nothing like the original edit. The new version has really strengthened some of the actor's performances, and deleted awkward lines from the original version. The battle scenes are much more intense. This short film deserves to be a feature. This is a must see, and will fill your heart with American pride and thanks to all of our soldiers. I expect to see this film come Oscar time!!
