The boat featured, the 'Arctic Rose' was a fishing vessel built in 1988 and was built for Shrimp fishing, in 1995 when the owners went bankrupt, the boat which had a history of mechanical problems sat in a Seattle Dock until it was bought in 1999 by a new owner and being refitted as a 'head and gut' trawler, the modifications adding extra weight. After she sank on 2nd Apr 2001, with the loss of all 15 crew, she remained at the bottom of the Bering Sea. See more »
