Painful breakups and loving meetings in an intimate relationship drama where each scene exudes sorrow, desperation and unrequited love. Adrian and Hampus's relationship has gone down increasingly destructive paths and during one fateful discussion it all ends. Hampus and Adrian are no more, but in some way they have to go on living. A healing process divided into stages of desperate attempts to reunite as well as rebounds, which sometimes push them further apart and sometimes closer together. Good acting, but...............................
Here we have Adrian and Hampus reaching the end of their relationship. Well acted and partially well written it's certainly an interesting look at this gay couple , but in some ways is so specific to them that some people are just not going to be able to relate. The film is certainly not a masterpiece, and it's hard to find depressing because we know virtually nothing of them before their end. While some scenes come across as brutally realistic, I found others a bit contrived. I also felt the softcore scenes of intimacy went on too long and were a distraction, or added nothing. I would rather have seen flashbacks to a happier time in this couple's life to understand what they ever saw in each other, but there is almost none of that. It's hard to feel something for characters that come across as kind of shallow, and ultimately Adrian is the only real fleshed out character with Bjorn Elgord doing an excellent job of bringing him to life, even in scenes where he has little dialogue. Strangely in the end, I felt this was more a film about Adrian then it ever was about the end of a relationship. If you enjoy gay-themed cinema this is well worth watching, I just felt it could have been so much more.
