Artistic & Fun

We stumbled upon Jessy & Nessy one day while browsing Prime videos. My three year old daughter loved it from the very beginning. Using a very nicely done form of mixed media artwork, they do a great job of making it feel like stop animation, which I happen to love.

My daughter really enjoys singing along to the songs and the storylines are simple enough for her to follow all the way through. One important aspect which makes this a slam dunk for me as a parent is that the characters are not annoying! There are too many preschool level shows out there that absolutely drive me crazy, but this one is quite pleasant. Jessy is a cute little kid who really does a great acting job. In my opinion, kids tend to over act at her age, especially in preschool shows, but Sophie Feldman comes across very natural. Nessy is also a fantastic character with a charming accent and a fun personality. They really are a combo that works well.

This is an overall great show, and I hope they put out new content soon!

My dog loves it, I find it cute and sweet

One of my dogs loves TV, but in the summer it's too hot to put the TV on. So I've been exploring free kids shows on my kindle and came across this one. She loves it. She's always been into screen time, but she will just chill in front of the screen and watch this. Doesn't keep her from barking when the dogs next door bark. But it keeps her entertained. I find myself enjoying it as well. Although I haven't sat down and watched an entire episode, season 1 is on repeat every night and so I've heard the episodes many times. I find myself singing 'Curiosity' on more than one occasion.

Curiosity as learning tool

Everyone knows that with kids, the best way to ensure they grow up to be interesting adults is to mix learn and play. This show brings it to a whole new level by allowing kids to embrace a series of everyday events and finding an explanation that falls into an absurd realm that will delight any person that watches it. This will certainly resonate later in life when they think of thunder and lightning, electricity, fog, etc. Absolutely thrilled that this is available to my child and on top of that it looks beautiful with all the sets and with the way they mix a real girl with animation elements.
