Lacks tension
29 October 2020 | by jandriod2012See all my reviews

ITV have stepped up their game with dramas over recent years, so I was looking forward to seeing how The Sister panned out. Unfortunately whilst it started off well, the slow pace, unlikable characters and lack of tension conspire to make this quite dull and drawn out. Also, although I like Russell Tovey, I find his mumbling dialogue annoying and at times indecipherable. There seems to be a trend now for muttering on TV; please, actors, enunciate! Surely they taught you this in drama school!
