Guest star Teryl Rothery states at 25 minutes in, the reverend helped her after her husband Daniel died. This is a reference to Stargate SG-1, as her character and future Eureka guest star Michael Shanks would often share a glance at each other, leading many fans to speculate. Also, Shanks' character Daniel Jackson would frequently seem to "die" in many SG-1 episodes.
