The Rise of Hero

It's a great late night movie. As the title says, it's a silly movie but entertaining. I happened to be in the right mood to enjoy it. The acting in general was decent. They didn't take themselves seriously. There was reasonable chemistry between the main characters. The cinematography was good. The kung fu sequences were fair and a bit over the top. I'm assuming that was the intent. They seemed to have a good time making the movie. Despite being somewhat predictable, it was interesting enough to keep me watching. I enjoyed hearing them try to speak English. The translations were insightful and interesting. Overall, it was a fun late night movie and helped me decompress from the day.
