Ramón Rodríguez Joins Aubrey Plaza in Hulu Drama Pilot ‘Olga Dies Dreaming’
Ramón Rodríguez has been cast in a lead role opposite Aubrey Plaza in the Hulu drama pilot “Olga Dies Dreaming,” Variety has learned.

The show is based on the yet-to-be-released novel of the same name by Xóchitl Gonzalez. It was ordered to pilot at the streamer back in April. It tells the story of a Nuyorican brother(Rodríguez) and sister (Plaza) from a gentrifying Sunset Park, Brooklyn, reckoning with the absent, politically radical mother and their glittering careers among New York City’s elite in the wake of Hurricane Maria.

Rodríguez’s character is named Prieto. He is Olga’s brother and a popular Congressman who is described as wearing his Puerto Rican pride like a badge of honor. He grew up playing a part: the cheerful, overachieving, involuntary patriarch of a broken home. He’s lonely and tired, but he wakes up every morning wholly prepared to be the fixer,

15 Actors You Totally Forgot Were in a Transformers Movie

15 Actors You Totally Forgot Were in a Transformers Movie
With all the CGI, explosions (real or otherwise), and just the sheer amount of FX that go into any Transformers movie, it should surprise nobody that one might forget that a certain actor was in one or some. After all, when we go and see these movies, are we going to see Anthony Hopkins and Frances McDormand? Or, are we hoping to see Opitmus Prime battle some nefarious bot that needs to be sent to the nether regions of the universe? So it stands to reason that amidst all that's happening on the screen, we might not remember that Bernie Mac, Kelsey Grammer, and Leonard Nimoy, among others, once entered the Transformers universe.

Also, factor into this that iconic director Michael Bay directed Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Transformers: Age of Extinction and Transformers: The Last Knight. Bay is a filmmaker who is known for style and spectacle.

Rainn Wilson: ‘I had agents who were, like: You need to get your teeth fixed, build loads of muscles’
He may have an impressive film CV, but the actor is destined to be remembered as The Office’s resident dork. He talks about why he was perfect for the role, his new movie, Don’t Tell a Soul – and his love for Steve Coogan

Some actors associated with a signature role will tire of talking about it. No such preciousness from Rainn Wilson, who appears on camera from his Los Angeles home wearing a grey T-shirt emblazoned with the word “Scranton”. That Pennsylvania city provided the setting for the US version of the mockumentary sitcom The Office, which ran for nine widely adored, award-winning series. Wilson earned three Emmy nominations for playing the livid, disagreeable Dwight, the Rust Belt equivalent of Mackenzie Crook’s Gareth. Today’s beard and baseball cap, as well as his chipper demeanour, banishes all memory of the pasty face, DIY haircut and startled expression he wore in that show.

Brie Larson Says She Almost Turned Down Captain Marvel Due To Anxiety

Brie Larson Says She Almost Turned Down Captain Marvel Due To Anxiety
If it was easy to make it in Hollywood, then everyone would do it, but cracking the top end of the A-list takes hard work, dedication, determination and more often than not, a little bit of good luck. Most actors spend years auditioning unsuccessfully before they find themselves actively being offered parts, and sometimes even then they’re reluctant to accept the jobs that come their way.

Brie Larson might have been widely regarded as one of the best young actresses in the industry after a string of critically acclaimed performances culminated in her winning the Academy Award for Best Actress at the age of just 26 for her phenomenal work in Room, but before that, she’d endured a number of setbacks.
