Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Characters are crushed by a collapsing wall and are pushed into a fire and burned alive.
  • Children are attacked by bugs and cats, resulting in supernatural visible injuries, and are also threatened with death.

Profanity

  • 1 use of "heck"
  • An invisible cat poops on a sandwich with splatter. The excrement is shown materializing from thin air up close.
  • Use of hell by boy
  • Boy yells "aww" in exasperation but it sounds like "fuuu"
  • A witch vomits candy slime

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Beware that the Australian Netflix Version has been cut down to earn it's PG rating from an M.
  • Suspenseful music with some intense scenes, can be frigthening for young kids.
  • There's a gruesome looking witch that will definitely be too scary for young children and whose appearance would be more suitable for an adult horror film. The way she twitches after getting out of the coffin and how her face looks with cloudy eyes and disgusting skin, I don't agree with Netflix that this is for kids as young as 7 years.
