Horrible. Don't watch it if you are a fan of the books. Only watch it if you are a teenager who doesn't care about bad actors' performances, sloppy writing, the violation of the original books, cliché action and over the top effects that looks like something from an 80:s adventure film.

If you however, like that a fantasy epos got turned into a romantic, run-of-the-mill adventure series á la "Xena the Warrior princess", with horrible actors that doesn't convince anyone who portray shallow characters in a horribly executed plot, then this is the series for you.

It's not that it's very bad, it's just bland and boring and un-impressive. I doubt any of Terry Brooks' fans were impressed. The CGI and backdrops are nice, but hardly convincing. The elves are more high school kids then anything else and were so disappointing. The narrative from the books weren't great in the early books, but there are plot holes here the size of canyons, and the time-line seems to be all weird compared to the books. I was so bored.

What felt new in the books at the time just feels old and worn down. Why even see this series? It seems so predictable, and the characters are so dumb it hurts my brain. It really makes me think of reruns of bad adventure series. There are like 3 interesting characters, all the others are horrible with so-called actors that shouldn't be allowed near a camera. It could have been so good, but it's so bland. Like over boiled, left over carrots in a high school-meal from the 80:s, served as new but without any of the taste.
