From the risque stories of Anaïs Nin comes Little Bird. Well there is an early scene of a prostitute urinating on her client.
Further punishment is meted out when the same woman sings the French national anthem badly in a nightclub.
Set in the mid 1950s Tangier. Lucy Savage (Juno Temple) is marrying Hugo an English aristocrat. It is not going to end well, Hugo prefers men.
Tangier is a bit of a hotbed, sexually and politically. There is unrest and Hugo has been roped in to do some arms dealing by his wealthy father in law. Lucy wants unconventional adventure, a sexual awakening.
The first episode was pretty to look at. Gorgeous scenery and costumes. It was also vapid and I am not going to be swayed by a cheeky golden shower scene.
