Sex & Nudity

  • Constant very strong gory violence, disturbing deaths and nightmarish imagery may disturb most viewers.
  • Characters eating creatures which ends up making them hallucinate.
  • A character is hit by a venomous lizard creature and later takes the bandage off to reveal his toe is swollen and infected and covered in pus. Brief and not necessarily violent, but gross to look at.
  • A character slices the face of a priest with a knife. Brief but bloody.
  • Characters eat large caterpillars by slicing them open and spilling their guts into their mouth.
  • A fight against unicorns results in many gory deaths to both sides.
  • Don't be fooled by the cutesy animation style, this is an extremely brutal and violent animated movie with loads of blood and gore and disturbing moments.

Violence & Gore

  • Characters being impaled and implyed limb dismemberment
  • A character while drugged attacks what he believes to be a giant caterpillar and stabs it repeatedly with a knife, causing blood to spray. It was not actually a caterpillar, but his brother. We see the incredibly gorey aftermath shortly afterward.
  • A character commits suicide via hanging. This is not seen on screen, but the aftermath showing his body hanging from a tree is shown.
  • A camp is discovered with corpses littered everywhere. Intestines are hung from trees, maggots crawl from the eyes of corpses, etc. Incredibly gruesome and disturbing.
  • A character's foot is chopped off due to infection. Offscreen.
  • A character sacrifices himself using a grenade to blow up his enemies and himself.
  • A character kills one of his own teammates and cannabalizes him. Incredibly graphic.
  • A character is stabbed in the face by a unicorn and falls off a cliff, resulting in further damage to his face. Quick but graphic.
  • A highly gorey final battle happens with high quality close ups of the aftermath.
  • A character kills his brother by smacking a concrete block into his head, exposing his brain. Highly graphic and upsetting.
  • A character kills a very young unicorn and drinks its blood.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Characters eat psychedelic caterpillars and have a highly disturbing drug trip with flashing lights and colors.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Strong psychological horror, a strong and disturbing portrayal of psychopathy and cruel instances of graphic violence add to the weight of the film making it only for mature audiences. Its animated style may be misleading.
  • A character coughs up blood and dies in front of her children from an unspecific illness. Not graphic but hard to watch as they both cry.
  • As a child, a character poisons his own mother after hearing her remark to his brother that she worries about him and that he isn't mentally well. It is implied that this is her cause of death.
  • Ending is left up to interpretation and unclear, but highly upsetting nonetheless.
  • A character is severely disfigured after an attack and goes completely insane, it's later shown that he lost an eye and has half his face almost completely burned, with a huge gash through his cheek showing the inside of his mouth.
  • A character brutally kills his own brother and the last surviving unicorn, which causes a horrifying monster to be created and kill him as well.
