Monetised Misandry
Who is Alexandra Snow? Apparently she is one of the most famous dominatrixes who has an online presence. She must be close to 40 now so its likely her career will be on the wane.
So whats the solution? It seems to be to release a documentary about her business and the fact she is now looking to pass the torch to younger women by showing them the ropes.
So what exactly does this sex work entail?
Judging by whats on show its highly mechanical and not very erotic. The job seems to entail churning out three sexual fantasy videos a day to her fanbase who dictate what has to be shown on screen.
Miss Snow can be seen instructing her apprentice in how its done, "look at the camera this way, position your body like this etc". It completely breaks the spell that whats being churned out is in any way either enjoyable or even understandable to these women.
It gives the impression they are simply puppets dancing joylessly to the sound of the punters credit cards.
Of course the "psychology" of the dominatrix is explored but not in any real depth.
Its the usual "women in control" narrative yet none of these women on show are in any real control of their lives. Where are the kids? The happy relationships with men?
A telling scene is when Ms Snow discusses an upcoming date with a man she liked, only for her to cancel when the man told his friends he was dating a dominatrix.
While she gave the reason of not wanting to be defined this way it gave me the impression shes embarrased by disclosing this outside of her sex worker bubble.
She should also have been grateful a man was willing to date her because simply put most men of value wouldn't.
None of the women interviewed come from a stable family background and seem to have stumbled on what they think is an easy way to make money from men with mental health issues.
Men are simply cash machines, the attitude of the women is that they have stumbled upon the lottery by finding men stupid enough to pay for things that aren't in the least bit sexual so where's the cost to them?
There's certainly a cost to the men who pay crazy money to live out these compulsions, there's also the reputational damage to the man in this documentary "encouraged" by Miss Snow to "come out" in one of her videos. God knows how that will affect his career.
They also bemoan the fact that their sex work is "frowned upon" by society. Well sure if you choose that lifestyle it comes at a cost to your reputation and sexual marketplace value. Do men want to marry one of these women? Not likely.
Of course we have the usual feminist rent a quote academics who argue the usual nonsense that these are "empowered women", however theres very little evidence of any power.
You are not in a powerful position when you are only there by consent (or pay) of others. You simply don't get paid lots of money for "pleasant" or enjoyable work.
And thats what this documentary fails to explore.
The other telling failure is that the young apprentrice taken on by Miss Snow just doesn't seem to want to put the work in.
Who can blame her when Only Fans girls make money off looks alone without having to go through the effort of role play required to be a dominatrix?
This needed a more balanced approach by which I mean one not made in house by Miss Snow, this comes off a poor advertisement for the lifestyle of a dominatrix, it also doesn't have much in the way of erotic content.
These documentaries basically promote misandry or female chauvenism. Because these women profess that women are superior and they give themselves names like Goddess in order to feel superior to men. I kid you not.
If this was a male making a documentary about female slaves im sure the word "cancel" would be branded. But as well all know cancel culture is a one way street.
