MPAA Rated R for bloody horror violence and language

Sex & Nudity

  • Underwear of the infected is visible in a couple of scenes.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is bitten by another person. The biting is shown graphically. He is later shown numerous times covered in blood, as well as numerous closeups of the bloody bite wound.
  • A man is dropped down a stairwell after being bitten. The biting is off screen, but you see him hit the ground and the effects of the bite.
  • A man is shown being given an injection directly into a wound on his face
  • Throughout the rest of the film numerous other people are bitten and attacked, but all of the attacks are far less violent than mentioned above and are mostly off screen, the victims are just shown with blood on their clothes for the most part.
  • Attackers are fought off in numerous ways including two shootings (both obscured by darkness and shaky camera effects) and numerous physical attacks, such as the breaking of their necks, striking with a mallet and strangulation.

  • Very frequent strong language including "fuck", "shit" and many other profanities throughout in the original Spanish soundtrack.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Brief mention and showing of medical drugs.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Several frightening/intense scenes ranging from sudden jump scenes to not so sudden attacks. Mainstreaming in hand of the camera is very real and can cause one greater sense of fear and anguish. The film is also very claustrophobic, to occur only within a building and being in constant danger.
  • The night vision sequence near the end of the film is very intense.
  • If you dislike the sight of blood, this movie is not for you.
