- Cyril organizes a competition- with a motorcycle as a prize- as a marketing scam to drive up potato chip prices.
- Cyril Sneer attempts to unload his potato chip business on Mr Knox, claiming that this product is selling like "hot potatoes." However, "Sneer Snacks" sales have been down for some time, and Cyril is mainly hoping to dump a badly-performing product on the unsuspecting Knox. Cyril still finds nothing wrong with the chips, which don't even crunch, and come in strange flavors like "fried egg and broccoli" (also, only 5 potato chips come in every 50-cent bag).
The pigs come up with the idea to have a contest with a prize giveaway. Cyril likes the idea, and formulates a contest where noone can win, thus ensuring sales profits will be up when he and Knox close the sale within a week. The contest is for a Blue Phantom Bicycle, which requires 8 puzzle pieces (one in each bag) to be fully connected to win the grand prize.
Bert Raccoon soon finds out about the contest, and soon grows obsessed with winning, even going so far as to sell all his prized possessions to keep buying more chips.
Eventually, the pigs accidentally lose the winning piece in the chip-making system, and go out trying to get it back. However, Bert and the pigs scuffle over the bag, ending up damaging Mr Willow's store, and also ruining Ralph and Melissa's bicycle in the process. Bert wins the contest, but grows saddened when he sees what his obsession has done.
Shortly afterwards, Bert apologizes to his friends for what he has done, and sells the Blue Phantom to repair Ralph and Melissa's bicycle, as well as pay for the damages to Mr Willow's store.
Meanwhile, with the contest over, and Sneer Snacks sales taking a major dive, Knox backs out of the deal, and Cyril is stuck with a warehouse full of potato chips.
