Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging: life primer that means so much to millennials

In 2008, millennials were just beginning to discover the joys and horrors of the opposite sex. This coming-of-age classic gave us a few key lessons

This year Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging turns 10 – the same age I was when the film was first released in 2008 (in cinemas that still sold reasonably priced tickets). It only seems like yesterday that a large audience of pre-teen girls discovered this homage to the travails of teenage life. Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging was the lovechild of two novels by Louise Rennison: Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging (1999) and It’s Ok, I’m Wearing Really Big Knickers (2001). Despite the elaborate title, the film realistically schooled girls on what life was like: we were about to become spotty, hormonal teenagers but we would learn to love ourselves.

Wekeed – For Those Who Love Music

Chances are, you haven’t heard of Wekeed before now. And that’s fine, because now you have and if I’m honest, I hadn’t too until a few weeks ago. So, for what reason am I making the effort to write about them? Put simply, never have I been so engrossed by an up and coming musical project such as Wekeed and I love music…like, I Love music.

The elusive musical duo from Paris have certainly not revealed a lot about themselves, but their somewhat anecdotal bio on their Twitter and Facebook pages set the serene tone to their musical style:

“We are Wekeed. The wild union of a girl & a boy brought together by life. Just like other couples make love, we make music.”

So, with their shared love of music creating the undertone to the entire project, what direction do these two Parisians take? Well,

Who Are 'The Voice' Top 3?
"The Voice" Top 3 were revealed on Tuesday night. Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope of Team Blake are moving on along with Team Cee Lo's Nicholas David.

Another member of Team Cee Lo, Trevin Hunte, was eliminated.

Cassadee and Terry kicked off the performances of the night with a duet of the Of Monsters and Men hit "Little Talks," while Trevin and Nicholas performed the last song of the night. The final two members of Team Cee Lo sang Mariah Carey's classic ballad "Hero" just before Trevin was eliminated.

Three "Voice" alumni also took the stage on Tuesday night. Former Team Cee Lo member Juliet Simms performed her single "Wild Child," looking more like Ashlee Simpson than ever and seemingly inspired by Miley Cyrus' "Can't Be Tamed" music video. Country singer RaeLynn, a former member of Team Blake, also performed her new single "Boyfriend," with her signature flower in her hair.
