Glorious Purpose

As the series depicts, Loki was the infamous D.B. Cooper. Cooper was the alias of an airline hijacker who demanded $200,000 in ransom from the U.S. government (having passed a note to a stewardess that he had a bomb in a suitcase) and then parachuted out of the back of the plane while still in mid-air. Just like Loki in the series, Cooper was said to have worn dark sunglasses, a well-tailored suit and was never caught. One difference in how the series depicts the event is that it actually occurred in the pouring rain.

Loki, as DB Cooper, is shown jumping from the plane during during daylight on a clear, sunny, day. In reality, Cooper jumped in darkness (approximately 8:13 PM in late November) and during a rainstorm. Also, Cooper removed his tie and left it on the plane as evidence, and made Schaffner and the rest of the crew stay in the front of the plane while he stayed in the back, unobserved, before jumping.

At the very end of the end credit roll, Miss Minutes is heard to say "Thanks for visiting the TVA, don't hesitate to let us know how we're doing!"
