In a residential street in Edinburgh, brothers Max and Jake run down an old man while Jake is driving them back from a wedding - stoned and uninsured. They carry on with their lives, hoping Walter's death will be passed off as natural causes, but the brothers end up being pulled further into Walter's world.
Guilt starts off on some style, it's a comedy drama thriller, it dares to be different. The opening is very different, very much black comedy. I've seen a few mention Tutti Frutti, I'm seeing parallels more so with the likes of Stag, that kind of black dramedy.
Jamie Sives and Mark Bonnar are terrific in this. I always thought highly of Bonnar, until Summer of Rockets earlier in this year, where I discovered he's actually amazing. He shows here he can do comedy with ease, I loved his sarcasm.
I was into it after the first few minutes, great fun. 8/10
