Dexter is wearing disposable gloves while preparing blood samples from the trophy slides for testing. He is in the lab that is inside the police station. He exits the lab by touching the door handle, walks into the bullpen, then strips his disposable gloves and throws the gloves into a common waste basket that is next to a desk. Dexter should have disposed of his gloves in a biohazard waste bin that was inside the lab, and before touching the door. (Never mind the rest of the PPE he should have been wearing at the time or that he should have donned new disposable gloves between each sample to avoid cross-contamination).

    A Golden Episode!
This is the ninth episode of the second season of Dexter and oh boy what an episode this is! It's action-packed and full of surprises, and there is actually a huge surprise at the end that is making me eagerly anticipating on what will happen next. I like how this show doesn't rely on clichés like other crime shows to tell the story. This is surely one of a kind.

In this episode, "Resistance Is Futile," Dexter apologizes to Rita and admits that Lila is the worst mistake of his life. But Lila is not going to let Dexter get away that easily. Meanwhile, Dexter is in shock when he realizes his blood samples are missing and believe his time is up when Lundy calls him in. But Lundy tells Dexter that Doakes is the prime suspect. They dispatch a security detail on Dexter, but one night Dexter escapes to do some work and there he gets a very big surprise.

Overall, this is an incredible episode and the best one yet this season. I was able to remain glued to by seat to see what happens and I urge other viewers to do the same. The tension between Dexter and Doakes is even higher now and that may lead somewhere one day. I can't wait to see what happens next. I rate this episode 10/10.
