Patty Hewes learns that Larry Popler has been passing information on to Frobisher and decides to turn the tables on both of them. Greg Malina is still missing and Patty suggests to Larry that he may have been killed. Ellen and Tom interview a former SEC Commissioner who had spent a good deal of time going after Frobisher during the criminal trial. Ellen learns that her father had a serious car accident but he hasn't hired a lawyer and is resistant to her advice about his upcoming deposition. In the flash-forward, we learn that Ellen and David broke up just prior to him being killed. Ellen is arraigned and pleads not guilty. Her bail is set at $1.5 million. Written by garykmcd

Did You Know?

[first lines]
Ellen Parsons: [answering the door] You still didn't make new keys.
David Connor: Oh, there's no time. Your sister was going to bring over the extra set, but she didn't.
Ellen Parsons: I'm sorry, babe.
David Connor: [noticing dining room] Whoa, what is this?
Ellen Parsons: The cake lady sent them over for the wedding.
David Connor: We have to choose?
Ellen Parsons: Mm hmm. But I gotta go, so whatever you like is great with me, just nothing too lemony.
David Connor: Wait. No, no! I'm not deciding.
Ellen Parsons: Why not?

How the Relationship Ends
4 April 2017 | by HitchcocSee all my reviews

Frobisher works the crowd, but for a very rich man, he is sort of Trump like. Left to his own devices he would hang himself. Ray has to constantly rein him in before he shoots off his foot. Ellen is arraigned but can't go bail. Her dad (Gordon Clapp) has run over a crossing guard and acts stupidly, trusting the judicial system, despite her advice. We have the usual flashback which shows the relationship in the stickiest moments. The old guy that Frobisher has been using as his mole, becomes a problem and he plays counterspy, returning to Patty. She had come to realize that he was reporting to Frobisher. She is almost supernaturally insightful. Gregory is on the run, but in the crosshairs. We don't really know exactly what happened to him. This is really ramping up. I'm looking forward to bringing things up to current time.
