    • Trivia
To this day, no one really knows what the sweating sickness that swept through Tudor England (and which forms a core component of this episode's plot) was. The last known outbreak occurred in 1551 and has not been recorded since. Some speculate that it was a form of the hanta virus.
    • Goofs
Thomas Tallis is working on his musical score when he is approached by two girls. When he turns to talk to them the score is blank, however in the very next shot the pages have filled with notes.
    • Quotes

Queen Catherine of Aragon: [about the plague] And your fear of The Sweat is greater than your infatuation with your mistress?

King Henry VIII: [annoyed] Katherine, she is not my mistress. I do not sleep with her. Not whilst you and I are still married.
