Mahone is assured all he has to do is tell the truth, enjoying full immunity. Michael tells Whistler their row is part of a diversion, the escape is now or never, before the drug in the guard's coffee wears off. Just when the critical sun reflection blinds the other tower guard, they must wait and hide till Sammy has passed, but get through the cut bars. They climb down, but the glare disappears so they must climb back up as there is not enough time to escape. They get back in time and out to the courtyard, but Lechero refuses to allow them to cancel their duel to the death in the courtyard, which had been intended as a fake diversion. Sofia draws a gun on Lincoln to prevent him from turning Whistler over to killers. He retorts that's condemning an innocent L.J. to death. Guards wake the passed-out Captain Hurtado, see the climbing rope and storm into the prison. Fading the Glare
9 November 2008 | by claudio_carvalhoSee all my reviews

Michael tells Whistler that he had given diversion to the inmates while they escape from Sona. However, the glare fades with the clouded sky and they have to return to the cell and fight in the yard. But the sniper sees the rope in cell 212 they used in their attempt of breaking out and the alarm is activated, and their fight is interrupted. Sullin grants full immunity to Mahone. Bellick feels sorry for Sara. Sucre intercepts the van but Susan reverts the situation on her favor. Lechero tells Michael that he wants to go with him. Susan a.k.a. Gretchen visits Whistler and he instruct her to give four more days to Michael and Lincoln.

The relationship between Gretchen and Whistler is the greatest surprise of this episode. The condition of the junkie Mahone is impressive and the attitude of Bellick feeling sorry for Sara in unexpected. My vote is eight.
