Summaries

  • An average Estonian high-schooler decides to defend his bullied classmate. This starts war between him and the informal leader of the class. As teenagers' honour is a touchy thing, everything ends in bloodshed.
  • High-school life isn't easy for Kaspar and class pushover Joosep, both 16. Without meaning to, Kaspar defends Joosep against classmates' bullying, but every time Kaspar tries to help, it backfires, and the class takes it out on Joosep. Kaspar just wants his friends, his girl, and his unassuming life back. Joosep wants to regain his dignity and have any chance to switch to a high school far away, But their classmates are relentless, going further and further with each incident.—Anonymous
  • Shy nerd Joosep is the favorite victim of his macho classmates, mainly cocky Anders' jock gang, while the rest tend to applaud the unfair abuse "show." Joosep's father, a macho military man, just tells him to 'stand up for yourself'--not *how*. Rebuked by his girlfriend Thea for helping to lock nude Joosep in the girls' showers, jock Kaspar decides to shield Joosep from grosser abuse. This gets him bullied as 'traitor'--and later, alleged 'queer buddy.' After Joosep takes his own stand out of principle and Kaspar's refusal to dub threatens to get him expelled and returned to his rural home, things escalate tragically.—KGF Vissers
  • Kaspar comes from the country and soon fits in at his new school, but he gets concerned about Joosep, who is constantly harassed. This gets Kaspar wondering about honor. He doesn't like to see others bullying Joosep, but he really can't stand being on that side although he doesn't actually join in the torture. He decides to defend Joosep, but his classmates are holding him away and taking it out on Joosep. Both boys find life difficult in this environment, but Joosep has hope and dreams, so Kaspar thinks he can also live through it. Yet their relentless classmates are going too far and this hope gets completely consumed by desperate feelings.—Evanmera <evanmera@gmail.com>
