Storyline
Plot Summary |
Orphaned schoolboy Peter Parker lost even his uncle, leaving him with old, semi-helpless aunt May. Through a messed-up experiment with spider DNA, he acquires super-powers. But he only uses them when masked in a flashy costume as Spider-man, a mysterious dashing hero who defeats all crooks. As Peter, his life is far humbler, moonlighting as photographer for the Bugle. Did You Know?
Trivia | A third season was planned, but the series ended up being cancelled, due to the low television viewership for season two (after the show moved from Kids' WB to Disney XD), DVD sales not meeting their demand, and the television show rights reverting from Sony back to Marvel. According to Greg Weisman, had there been a third season, there would have been episodes that introduced the villains Carnage, Hydro-Man, Scorpion, and Hobgoblin. Norman Osborn's wife Emily Osborn also would have made her first speaking appearance, with Marina Sirtis in mind as the voice of the character. See more » |
