This film has a decent lead cast so I gave it a watch and even though this film has a terrible rating on this website, I actually think this film is okay. It is no classic but it is definitely not a terrible film in my opinion. The premise of the film sees a man find out that while travelling his wife had an affair, he goes on the hunt to find this man. Liam Neeson plays the lead in this film and he is great as you would expect. He adds the aggressive nature that you would expect from a person that is in his situation but you totally support him because he is so good in this film. Antonio Banderas is really good in this film, as he sells this slimy character who also is hard to totally go against as he isn't a terrible person. Laura Lilley is very good in this film aswell, she adds good parts to her role without having lots of screen time. But there is a pretty poor performance from Neeson's daughter in the film, I didn't care about her character at all and I felt her delivery didn't really work. The story isn't the most unique and you have seen it all before, but I liked the way it came across especially with an interesting twist about 3/4's of the way for the film. However, I felt like the payoff wasn't there and while logical was just a bit more boring then I wanted. The script had some decent drama in it, that when used felt very real. But I felt like it could have gone even further in its execution also the humor didn't really work in this film. The style of the film in the 2nd half of the film worked as it kept me on my toes and made me interested in what was going to happen. Though the pacing of this film isn't particularly good and the first half of the film feels incredibly slow. Overall this is an okay suspense film but if you haven't seen it then there isn't much need to rush and see it.
