Storyline

Now Caroline Reynolds has stepped down as president, she can no longer sign a pardon, so the brothers must immediately disappear, forever. At the pier, Sarah realizes she's being tailed and pretends on the phone already to be on board, so they sail without her while she is arrested; Lincoln stops Michael from returning for her. A week later, an FBI big-whig offers C-note a lesser sentence for testimony against Mahone, even freedom and witness protection for his family- bingo. Fernando grabs Bellick's gun while looking for T-bag, but he shows a crucifix to prove he has Maricruz. The scumbag enjoys his fortune with a street whore playing his Susan-Q. The brothers arrive at Cristobal, Panama; meanwhile Malone's team figures out Schofield's tattoos refer to Michael's mother Christina, presumably dead, and he presumes his computer contained much info on Panama for a reason. The man in power grills Kim on a small boat, and decides to change the strategy. Mahone sees trough FBI-colleague ... Written by KGF Vissers

Trivia

Rockmond Dunbar (Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin) and Kim Coates (Agent Richard Sullins) later acted together on the TV show Sons of Anarchy (2008). On SoA it is a complete role reversal where Coates plays the criminal and Dunbar's character is in law enforcement. See more »

Quotes

Benjamin Miles 'C-Note' Franklin: I'm sorry if I seem a little bit sceptical, but the last time a federal agent came up in here offering me a deal, there was a string attached... that I was supposed to put around my neck.

T-Bag recovers his backpack of money while Bellick and Sucre chase him in the airport. Bellick presses Sucre to chase T-Bag telling him that he has kidnapped and hidden Maricruz and she has supplies for a few days only. Michael and Lincoln wait for Sara in the cargo ship, but she discovers that Lang is following her and she stops her car and surrenders to the agent. One week later, Mahone is obsessed trying to figure out where Michael is. Richard Sullins proposes a deal to C-Note to go to court to testify against Mahone, and offers a new identity and clear record to him in the witness protection program. T-Bag kills a prostitute and is chased by the police; however he escapes to Panama. Meanwhile, in Cristobal, Panama, Michael and Lincoln argue since Michael is upset for ruining Sara's life; for releasing T-Bag and for the number of people that has died due to their prison break out. Bill Kim tells Mahone that C-Note will be released and offers a getaway to him. Mahone finds that Michael and Lincoln are in Panama and surprises Wheeler in the parking area. Michael and Lincoln are on board to the yacht Christina Rose ready to sail; when Michael receives an e-mail signed by Sucre, he does not imagine that the message has been sent actually by Mahone.

In "Panama", there are great moments like, for example, the sacrifice of Sara; the reaction of C-Note when the security guards go to his cell; or the tense encounter of Mahone and Wheeler in the parking slot. The scum Bellick and Kim Bill have also good moments in the show. However, the cleverness of Mahone deducting where Michael might be is irritating and impossible to believe how he could come up to such conclusion. My vote is seven.
