The Enchanted
17 August 2019 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

Colonel Breen is agitated that the press is hanging about. The story that James Fullalove's newspaper print leads to consternation with the military brass and the politicians.

Quatermass and Dr Ronay have developed a theory that the creatures in the capsule are Martians. These Martians visited Earth many millions of years ago and did some experiments to kickstart human development.

Colonel Breen who is getting increasingly bad tempered thinks that what they have found is an experimental V2 rocket developed by the Nazis. Nothing to do with far flung theories about Marians. A simple explanation and it is the one which the bosses like.

The episode ends creepily though with weird happenings in the capsule where the civilian contractor Sladden flees in terror emitting strange powers.
