The Yellow Handkerchief (2008)
Brett Hanson: I was gonna ask you to marry me.
May: What? You don't know a thing about me.
Brett Hanson: You just told me who you are. But I already knew. Your whole life is in your face.
Gordy: This is your fate, you got to play this out to the end. Otherwise, you're going to walk around a ghost for the rest of your life.
Brett Hanson: Look at it this way, it can always get worse.
Martine: Yeah well, I don't really think so.
Brett Hanson: Give it time.
Martine: You been married? Have you been?
Brett Hanson: Are you interviewing for the job? Cuz you're a little young.
Brett Hanson: [about May] She wasn't afraid - of me, maybe anything.
Gordy: Shit, everyone's afraid of me. I never hurt a flea.
Martine: I'm not afraid of you, I get annoyed.
Gordy: I think it would go away, because it wouldn't be like this obsession thing...
Martine: So it's like an obsession thing. You touch me and it goes away? Why is that?
Gordy: The mystery's gone.
Brett Hanson: I started to feel like I was already dead, but didn't know it.
Background voice: Hey, Brett!
Female warden: All right, close seven!
Prisoner in cell: Don'tcha come back now. Don't wanna see you back here again.
[Brett puts a letter in the mailbox]
Gordy: Now that's a sort of thing an ex murderer does. He mails a ransom note in the pouring rain.
Martine: I like him.
May: Did you noticed from the beginning... that you would fail in the marriage also? Did you... did you have it all set in your head and now you're happy because it turned out the way you thought? And you get to punish yourself like you wanted to do all along? Do you realise that you punish those who love you more? Do you understand that? Did you know that you made me love you? Did you even realise that? Why don't you give it a chance?
Brett Hanson: This is your chance.
