‘Game of Thrones’ Final Season: 8 Things We Learned From Director David Nutter’s Reddit Ama
Have you circled the entire month of April on your 2019 calendar while waiting patiently for more news about the final season of “Game of Thrones”? Good, because David Nutter — a frequent director on the D.B. Weiss and Damon Benioff-created series — hosted a Reddit Ask Me Anything on Tuesday, giving up some hints about Season 8.

Nutter — the director behind the Ad Council’s new short film “Rising,” which will air on Showtime this Friday — directed Episodes 1, 2 and 4 of the HBO fantasy epic’s final season. He previously directed iconic installments like Season 2’s “The Rains of Castamere,” aka The Red Wedding, and the Season 5 finale “Mother’s Mercy,” which kicked off the “Is Jon Snow dead?” debate and won Nutter an Emmy.

Here’s what we learned from Nutter’s Ama.

Game of Thrones: If This Theory Is True, Gendry Is Destined to Sit on the Iron Throne

After three long seasons spent rowing, Game of Thrones season seven finally answered the question of what happened to Gendry. Everyone's favorite blacksmith was chilling in King's Landing while he waited for someone to invite him back into the action. Now that he's returned to the fold, Gendry could play a major role in the final season. In fact, if this fascinating theory from The Nerdist is right, then Robert Baratheon's bastard could end up sitting on the Iron Throne when the final episode arrives.

The idea of Gendry inheriting the Iron Throne may sound ludicrous on the surface, but the theory has merit. Sure, he's a minor character, but he has a powerful connection to one of Westeros's oldest families. Even though he's not Robert's legitimate son, he's technically the last remaining Baratheon that we know of. That made him enough of a threat for Joffrey to want him

‘The Mandalorian’ Targets Pedro Pascal For Title Role In Disney+ Series
Game of Thrones and Narcos star Pedro Pascal is headed to the Jedi universe to portray the title character in The Mandalorian, the live-action Star Wars series that will be a flagship program for Disney+, the ambitious streaming service launching in 2019.

The native of Santiago, Chile, is in final negotiations to star in the series, which chronicles the lone-wolf odyssey of a character who hails from the planet Mandalore, which Star Wars fans know as the homeworld of the notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett and Jango Fett.

Pascal memorably portrayed the passionate warrior Oberyn Martell, aka the Red Viper, on the fourth season of the HBO series Game of Thrones. He also played DEA agent Javier Peña on three seasons of Narcos, when the Netflix series centered on the cocaine cartels of Colombia. Pascal also played Agent Whiskey in the Fox feature film Kingsmen: The Golden Circle in 2017.

Star Wars: Pedro Pascal Nabs Lead Role in Live-Action Mandalorian Series
The Force is strong with Pedro Pascal. The Narcos actor has been tapped to lead The Mandalorian, the live-action Star Wars series coming to Disney’s streaming service.

Pedro Pascal is in negotiations to join the upcoming “Star Wars” TV show titled “The Mandalorian,” an insider with knowledge of the project tells TheWrap.

The series, which is set in between “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens,” follows a Boba Fett-like character, described as “a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic…” In “Star Wars” lore, Mandalorians made the iconic armor that bounty hunter Boba Fett, and his “father” Jango Fett (he was technically an unaltered clone of Jango) wore in the films.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian TV Series Sets Pedro Pascal as Star

Joseph Baxter Nov 13, 2018

Game of Thrones alumnus Pedro Pascal is set to headline Disney’s streaming Star Wars spinoff series, The Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian has selected its titular Mandalorian in Pedro Pascal!

The small-screen Star Wars Universe has landed its first original headlining TV star in Pascal, who, as Variety reports, is in the midst of negotiations after having been offered the lead role in The Mandalorian, a show touted for the upcoming streaming service, Disney+. The series – which will be shepherded by a high-profile writer/producer/showrunner in Jon Favreau – will prospectively see Pascal play an unnamed main character, previously described by Favreau as “a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy.”

Indeed, The Mandalorian will serve as a showcase of the seedier, non-Jedi-related aspects of the Star Wars mythos, set sometime in the decades between the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the Sequel Trilogy’s Empire-emulating retro-fascists,

‘The Mandalorian’: Pedro Pascal to Play Lead in New ‘Star Wars’ TV Series
The biggest “Star Wars” story in the TV universe might have found its face.

Variety is reporting that “Game of Thrones” and “Narcos” alum Pedro Pascal will be the lead of the upcoming “The Mandalorian” series, which will follow the exploits of a bounty hunter (not named Boba or Jango).

Details surrounding Pascal’s character are not yet known, but series shepherd Jon Favreau has indicated that the show will take place in between the “Star Wars” installments “Return of the Jedi” and “The Force Awakens.”

Perhaps one of the first lessons Pascal’s character will learn is “Never celebrate a victory until you’ve confirmed that your opponent no longer has the capacity to lunge at you and turn your skull into a cantaloupe.”

The Mandalorian” is expected to be the marquee programming jewel in the library of the upcoming Disney+ streaming service, the company’s long-gestating answer to

YouTube’s ‘Origin': Tom Felton on Kinda-Sorta ‘Harry Potter’ Reunion With Natalia Tena

YouTube’s ‘Origin': Tom Felton on Kinda-Sorta ‘Harry Potter’ Reunion With Natalia Tena
Attention Potterheads: If you want to watch Tom Felton and Natalia Tena’s new YouTube Premium series, “Origin,” for the “Harry Potter” franchise reunion, that’s fine by Felton.

But, just know, the actor is going to call you out for playing fast and loose with the “reunion” phrasing here. After all, Draco Malfoy and Nymphadora Tonks never once met on screen — meaning that “Origin” actually marks Felton and Tena’s first time working together.

“Oh, I embrace it,” Felton told TheWrap when asked if he’s Ok with fans who are tuning in for what we’ve now clarified is not a reunion. ” Any reason that anyone wants to watch it is fine by me. No, Nat and I were actually having a bit of a laugh about this the other day. And Nat and I have never worked together before. We never saw each other once while shooting ‘Harry Potter.

Pedro Pascal To Star In The Mandalorian

Though Lucasfilm is now well over a month into production on The Mandalorian, the studio has remained curiously silent about casting choices. It therefore comes as a relief to hear news from Variety that Pedro Pascal will be taking the lead in this live-action Star Wars spinoff series.

The actor known for Narcos and Game of Thrones – not to mention the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 – will be heading a cast that is otherwise looking pretty blank for the time being, though the internet has offered plenty of suggestions. For one thing, there’s a rumor going round at the moment that Carl Weathers of Predator and Rocky fame will have a part to play in the Disney Plus show. On top of that, previous reports alleged that Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waitit each have minor roles lined up, the latter of whom is supposedly voicing a droid.

While such claims are awaiting confirmation,
