Dies for a deception
9 February 2014 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

I'm surprised that Brangelina didn't sue Law And Order for a very unflattering portrayal of half that power couple. The other half gets killed almost immediately into the program.

Jennifer Beals and Josh Causabon are the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt of the story. They've adopted an African AIDS baby and the use of their celebrity has brought attention to the plight of African poverty and disease. So who would want to do them harm?

But harm is done as Causabon is shot dead at a local market and the shooter turns out to be the father of the kid that they took from Africa. Later when he's caught the father only asks to see his son before cooperating on a statement and plea.

Imagine his shock in not finding his son. That leads into a further investigation and after trying to blame a sudden infant death on her nanny Anna Chlumsky, it's Beals who winds up on trial.

The portrait Beals paints of her Angelina Jolie type celebrity is truly not flattering. Poor Causabon dies for a deception she tried to perpetrate on the world and to keep her celebrity image intact.

Beals is wonderful, so good I'm surprised Brad and Angelina didn't sue.
