Trespass
Colcatron11 April 2011
"Trespess" is a heavily Lana centered episode, which is always hit and miss. The episode is nothing more than a predictable stalker/paparazzi story, which plays out like a very average slasher film. It's possible that the episode may have been more enjoyable had it not been a reminder of the dozens of psycho stalks Lana episodes that have already been done to death. The poor acting kills all tension in the climax, and it's hard to keep an interest in the episode when almost all the regular characters are absent. Clark's appearance near the end feels very tacked on. I liked how Lana's suspicions of Clark had been growing for several weeks, and the first couple of scenes tease like it's going to lead somewhere, but that element of the plot is all but thrown away. Not the worst of the season, but far from the best.

Suspense focused on Lana

An entertaining episode. The only drawback is that Lana is constantly being stalked, since season 1. It's a miracle that she hadn't gone insane by season 6. But it was nice to see the chemistry between Lana and Clark again, with Lois being completely absent from this episode.

The Paparazzi, The Bodyguard and the The Wedge

Lana discovers that a stalker is snooping her, and Lex asks his security team leaded by agent Brady and Mack to protect her. Lana hides out in Chloes's place first and then in the Kent Farm, but she is followed by the mysterious character. Meanwhile, Clark and Chloe believe that the paparazzi Louie Esposito is the stalker, and Jimmy finds his address, where they find many pictures of Lana and realize that Esposito is the wrong man.

"Trespass" is one of the weakest episodes of the Sixth Season. The forgettable story does not have anything special, and the highlights are Chloe and Jimmy back together; Lana sneaking Clark's stuffs; and the missing wedge. My vote is six.

Who is the stalker?

The fourteenth episode of "Smallville: Season 6" considers what life as a Luthor would be like- a life with little privacy, but much attention- a life that Lana Lang comes to realize the longer she is with Lex.

Lana is looking at a bent crowbar that Lex tries to stab Clark with, suspecting Clark's secret, when somebody sends her a cell phone picture of herself looking at the crowbar. As the episode progresses, she bounces from location to location, including Clark Kent's bedroom, where she tries to find clues to his long-kept secret, trying to avoid the stalker. However, she comes to realize at the end that the stalker is much closer to home than she realized.

This episode is interesting both in who the stalker is and how Clark still cares so much for Lana as to still come to her rescue. The stalker is rather predictable, so at least you can feel good if you guess it right.
