In the nutshell the movie pays tribute to the original super-hit "Yamagola" and blends in a few tried-and-test sub-plots (read that as 1980's formula loaded with cinematic liberties). Nonetheless, it is an interesting watch and delivers good laughs.
Jr. NTR:: Performance wise, strictly OK considering the fact that "original" NTRs blood runs in his veins. And yes, his dancing skills deserve special mention - very supple & fluid.
Mohan Babu:: Initially, you search for Satyanarayana in the character but as you go along the tide you feel his performance is equally impressive, if not better.
Priyamani:: Manages to effective evoke the sympathy of the audience with her "miss-goody-two-shoes" performance and her soft expressions. You are glued to her until Mamta Mohandas appears on the screen.
Mamta Mohandas:: Now she is one heavy-weight if I might use the expression for every time she appears in the frame she sets it ablaze. Bessotted - completely!
Khusboo:: No meat in the character.
Naresh:: Good to see after a long hiatus and well suited for the role of Narada.
Rest of the star cast is adequate.
The art department and the CGI deserves nothing short of standing ovation. And same should be said for the concept of resurrecting the "orignal NTR". Needless to say, very clever and indeed innovative considering the fact its great to see the duo share the screen space.

Mohan Babu: It is nice to see Mohan Babu in full form as Yama. His performance and diction in his introduction scene and interval episodes are extraordinary. He once again proved his excellent dialogue delivery skills with this film. His command on pure Telugu is admirable. NTR: You will see a new NTR in this film. He very slim and supple. His dance movements are fluid and effortless. The way he moves his body to seemingly unbelievable dance movement in Nachore song is amazing. He looks handsome and suited the Yama get-up very well and his dialogues in pristine Telugu (grandhikam) in Yama get-up are excellent. On the flip side, his hair style is inconsistent throughout the film. Heroines: Priyamani did the role of main heroine who is the heiress of a crores of rupees but gets exploited by her relatives for money. Her role in this film is little unglamorous. She is just fine. Mamata Mohandas does the role of a masala girl. Though she is alright in that character, her dubbing did not suit the nativity of Nellore dialect. Rambha sizzled in an item song and she is hot. Navaneet Kaur, Preeti Jingyani and Archana did the roles of celestial beauties and appeared in a song. Kushboo did the role of Yama's wife.
I've recently watched every movie of Rajamouli (except Gajendra). And I found this movie the worst of all. Script is bad. Characterization is bad. Dialogues and jokes are bad. Direction is bad. And even the acting from NTR is pretty bad. It's a bland of everything bad. And I don't get how come Rajamouli, who had already created some great movies like Chatrapathi and. Vikramarkudu before this made such a bad movie. But then I realized what has happened here. In those days Rajamouli had been experimenting with various genres. And by these experiments he has honed up his skills so great that he later produced movies like Baahubali and RRR. So in that regard I have nothing against this movie. After all, no artist can have only masterpieces in his arsenal. You can watch it for your love of Rajamouli. But be prepared to get disappointed a lot.
This is a great movie but it seems a little similar with an American movie Bruce almighty which came few years earlier to this movie
