Storyline

An ex-FBI agent is crucified and torched on top of a hotel with a message inside his throat which re-opens a case from the 70s that sent an innocent man to prison. The case has ties that go deep inside the FBI, endangering Bones and her brother Russ, and risking Booth's career. Bones receives a visit from an old friend of their father Max Keenan, who is holding back a secret. Elsewhere Zack defends his dissertation to earn his doctorate, and worries he may not be hired at the institute as he is "cute, but a jury won't take you seriously". Written by mohka

Trivia

When Booth hands Dr. Brennan a list of bank robbers with their code names, a close up shot is seen of a section of the list. The section includes 2 fake names, 2 character names, and four other names. These are Jan Dewitt, producer, Steve Beers, co-executive producer, Maggie Parker, 1st asst director, and Kent Henzlinger, 1st asst director. See more »

Goofs

When Booth is laying down pictures of the bank robbers and naming them by their code names, he ends with "Columbus", Brennan's dad. A few seconds later Russ points to the photos and identifies the top two as his mom and dad: in this shot a photo of their mom is on top, but we never saw Booth lay it down or say "Freemont", the code name for Brennan's mom. Family
15 July 2016 | by mitchrmpSee all my reviews

This is the second episode regarding Brennan's family. Her brother returns to warn her that their lives are in danger. A body is found hung, burned, and gutted and the person responsible is surprising. Booth is there for Brennan all the way. He hugs her and protects her. At the end, he assures her that there is more than one kind of family as he looks into her eyes lovingly.

Why he is with Cam instead of Brennan is beyond me!!!!!

Zack also becomes a doctor. But the way he looks may keep him from getting a job. Personally, I like him better the way he was - the new him is a bit creepy...
