Storyline

TURNER STULL(Barlow Jacobs), an uninspired young man, trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life, arrives in hurricane-ravaged New Orleans to work as an insurance claims adjuster. Greeted by his UNCLE STULLY(Robert Longstreet) a seasoned claim adjuster, and an ambitious group of adjusters, he is quickly immersed into the routine: move fast, don't get emotionally involved, and make a lot of money. But Turner, not prepared to deal with people who have lost everything, is totally overwhelmed. Turner's lack of experience and uncertainty only makes things worse. In a moment of crisis, Turner agrees to help NIXON(Eddie Rouse), a local man, find his lost dog. In exchange for Turner helping look for the lost dog, Nixon lends a hand with Turner's insurance claim's. Turner and Nixon begin to navigate their way through the storm-ravaged city, a journey that will change Turner's life. Written by Anonymous

The story of young insurance claims adjuster who comes to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and ends up with a relationship with a local man who is searching for his dog.

We saw this film at Ashland Independent Film festival and were quite impressed with both the story and the film-making. The film is very believable and in fact, fictional scenes are combined with documentary footage (including real life interviews of victims) of the devastation from Hurricane Katrina in Louisana. This made the story even appear more real and was a unique way to portray a very poignant current event in a narrative fiction format. Zack Godshall, the co-writer (with the lead actor) and director was present at the screening for a Q and A. He is a young filmmaker who is very sensitive and talented. We expect to see lots more of his work. We also commend his choice of actors...all were quite good as was the choice of music which set the mood, and lastly, his cinematographer was excellent and has a very good eye. More work by all of these professionals will be welcomed.
