Real Or Imposter?
24 September 2014 | by AaronCapenBannerSee all my reviews

Now famous episode gives a detailed account of Anna Anderson, an eccentric old woman who maintained for years that she was in fact the only surviving member of Czar Nicholas II's family, the grand duchess Anastasia, who was reported executed along with the rest of her family during the Russian revolution following WWI(Famously portrayed in the 1956 film with Ingrid Bergman) Found destitute and amnesiac, she became the center of a fierce court battle over her potential inheritance. Anna herself(at the time of recording) seems almost indifferent to the truth, pushed on instead by her husband. She would die a few years later, and DNA evidence would later disprove her claim. Unusual but most interesting account.
