During the trial scene, people in Carroll's room are wearing costumes of characters from his books. There are card soldiers, Queen of Hearts, a smiling cat, White Rabbit, a monkey and an unidentified rodent. All of them have their origin in "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland"; the Unicorn is the only costume from "Through the Looking-Glass".
In Carroll's house, a white jar with inscription "EAT ME" can be briefly seen on a table near the staircase. In his books, such words decorated the cakes that made Alice change her size.
The episode, as many others, takes place in London and it appears that Lewis Carroll lives here. In reality, he never had a home in London but he visited the city on various occasions.
Two characters in this episode are based on real people. These are Lewis Carroll (1832-1898), who later introduces himself by his real name - Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, and Alice Liddell (1852-1934).
In original French version, Lewis Carroll has sometimes a slight stammer. English dubbing doesn't have this effect.
