Trivia

In this episode the survivors get some information about which places were nuked around them, and Lawrence, Kansas is mentioned. One of the sheriff's deputies even asks how come Lawrence was hit and Topeka was not. Lawrence, Kansas is the small town where the events of the 1982 television drama "The Day After" are taking place. It's apparently a nod to the mother of all nuclear holocaust movies. See more »

I disagree, this show is good
3 December 2006 | by jedikillerSee all my reviews

I've started watching this show on innertube, back to back (its been a long night) and i disagree, maybe the acting is not the best to everyones standards, maybe the story is slow, but i heard something said about this years latest round of shows and that is, People are craving simplicity. If you are not, and you want to be enthralled and mystified, then don't watch the show, but there are many people who would like to just sit back, relax and watch a show that is still attractive to them, but not hurting their brain to watch. If you ever wonder why this show is taking off, look at it simply as a wised up soap opera, if that helps you. Soap opera acting is not exactly the best, the story lines are so slow you can pick them up 3 months later if you stop watching them. They air daily, and some have lasted 30+ years. From the corporate view point if this simple formula works, great! I love this show, i don't know if it will make it past year 2, but as they say all good things must come to an end.
