Goofs

I'm going call it a continuity 'goof' even though it doesn't 'break the spell' of this movie (as if anything could!). When we first see the articulate, autophagic fox face to face it is wearing a collar with a bell hanging from it. See more »

Quotes

She: Oak trees grow to be hundreds of years old. They only have to produce one single tree every hundred years in order to propagate. May sound banal to you but it was a big thing for me to realize that when I was up here with Nic. The acorns fell on the roof vent. They kept falling and falling. And die and die. And I understood that everything that used to be beautiful about Eden was perhaps hideous. Now I could hear what I couldn't hear before. The cry of all the things that are to die.

I probably didn't "get it"

I probably didn't "get it"

Having said that. I admit the movie is great at making you feel bad, deppressed (and oppressed) with imagery and visuals, incredible acting from both leads, and graphic and painful scenes. So that's great and the "five" for the movie.

But what Im not so sure is: What's the point of all this?

The themes (self hatred, deppression, guilt) are all there, but I feel they lose coherence as the movie goes on. Its like it touches so many dark human emotions, that can't really focus and ends up being not that much about anything in particular.

Great (awful) experience nevertheless.
