Based on the short story "A Tale of the Aged and Distinguished Nimby the Vampire", written by Grace Junkie in 1994. He has stated the story was written in five hours during a bout of insomnia, and the text remains essentially unchanged. "Another Tale of the..." was completed in 1997, three years later. A third "Nimby" story is still incomplete, nine years after it was started.
